Christianity is not a fashion, it’s not just a once in a while thing, never has been something for the moment. Christianity is a way of life. It is what makes us. It is what makes us different.
The definition of the work “noble” is as follows:
“having or showing fine personal qualities or high moral principles and ideals.”
As for “spirited” it says:
“having a specified character, outlook on life, or mood”
There aren’t that many Christians today that are noble-spirited. Instead there are many Christians today that make their believes secondary to everything else. They do not live the Word, they simply just read the Word. When situations are hard or when it is of benefit they profess to being Christians. There is no high moral principles and ideals, or personal qualities along with a christian character, outlook of life, or even their mood that say they are Christians.
These are the people that simply wants to benefit from being a christian when there is a benefit, but shun it when the world questions their religion.
“Who dare take heaven by force, that are fit for this calling”
Trying to take heaven, to make it your home requires daily, constant work. It is a constant fight to make heaven your home. The enemy is against you and always giving you the fight to have you give up. You must be in a position where this is all you want, being a Christian is not for everyone. It is like applying for the military, you simply can’t just walk in and decide to be a member of the military. You must endure the challenges and tests required to be a part of it. In Christianity it is just the exact same way, however, the challenges and tests never cease until you have perished. This battle is constant and always.
We need to start differentiating ourselves from the lukewarm followers of Christ. We need to not be put in one category with the people who are only Christians when there is a personal benefit. The one’s that create havoc in public and the media for personal fame at the cost of Jesus Christ, but who doesn’t live Christianity as a way of life.
